One Knoxville SC hired Ian Fuller as the Head Coach in the Fall of 2024. He arrived in Knoxville after spending the eight pior seasons as an assistant coach with Minnesota United FC in Major League Soccer.
A native of Ellensburg, Washington, Fuller began his coaching career as an assistant coach with the Charleston Battery and then for Orlando City SC in the USL Championship (2011-14) and MLS (2015-16).
As a player, Fuller competed collegiately at Clemson University and began his professional career with the New England Revolution after being selected with the 21st pick in the 2002 MLS SuperDraft. The forward made 14 appearances for New England across regular season and postseason play in 2002, helping New England advance to their first MLS Cup.
For the remaining 10 years of his professional career, Fuller suited up for several USL teams including Orlando City SC (2011-13), the Charleston Battery (2006-10), the Rochester Rhinos (2003-05) and Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2005). Notable highlights of Fuller’s playing career include helping Orlando win the inaugural USL Championship title and USL Championship Players’ Shield in 2011, guiding Orlando to a second USL Championship crown in 2013, and helping Charleston to the 2008 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final.
Fuller resides in Knoxville with wife, Susannah.
