TAMPA, Fla. – It was a big four-point week on the road for One Knoxville SC and a pair of teammates provided the driving force in that successful stretch. For their performances in a 1-1 draw at Forward Madison FC and a 2-1 thriller at AV Alta FC, midfielder Teddy Baker and forward Eli Conway were both named to the USL League One Week 27 Team of the Week on Tuesday.
Both players are no strangers to receiving the league honors with Conway having earned his first selection on Week 23, while this marks Baker’s team-leading sixth selection and his third in the last four weeks.
It was Conway who provided the bulk offensive firepower in both matches, finding the back of the net twice, including a stunning stoppage-time winner against AV Alta on Saturday. For the week, the first-year winger led Knoxville with 11 total touches in the opposing box and won possession four times to go along with successful 13 duels.
Baker, meanwhile, continues to do a little bit of everything for his club. Entering this past week as the team-leader in assists and chances created, the London-native added to those totals across the pair of matches.
He provided the final ball, setting up John Murphy Jr. opening goal on Wednesday. It was part of a two-match stretch that saw Baker produce seven total chances, pushing his total up to 66 for the 2026 USL1 season.
Following the two matches away from Tennessee, Baker, Conway and One Knox are back at Covenant Health Park this Friday. Kickoff for the special Knoxtoberfest match is set for 7:00 p.m. ET (tickets). Festivities include a special biergarten on the concourse, live pre-match polka music and a club-branded beer stein to the first 1,000 fans, ages 21 and up, to enter the stadium.
