One Knoxville SC signs Richard Ballard
One Knoxville SC is happy to announce the signing of attacker Richard Ballard, pending league and federation approval.
The 29-year-old joins One Knoxville SC after spending last season with Detroit City in which he recorded 1,215 minutes and 25 games for the USL Championship side in 2023.
A graduate of Indiana University, Ballard will bring heaps of experience to the 865 due to his time at Louisville City and Miami FC before his recent season in Michigan.
Coach Mark McKeever is excited to add pace and impact higher up the field, saying, “Ballard’s pace and ability in 1v1 situations will excite our fans this year as he will be one the Scruffs will want to watch week in, week out.” He continued to state that “Rich Ballard could be one of the most exciting signings One Knoxville has had.”
We spoke to the winger about his move to One Knoxville SC. He said “I am excited to play for a coach I have been in contact with a while! I know what he is building in Knoxville and really looking forward to playing exciting football this season.” He expressed his excitement about bringing a championship to the city of Knoxville.
