One Knoxville SC signs Sivert Haugli
One Knoxville SC has completed the signing of defender Sivert Haugli, pending league and federation approval.
The 24 year old joins One Knoxville SC after spending last season with Moss FK. He brings USL experience to Knoxville after he completed a loan spell in 2022 with the Phoenix Rising. This came after signing for the Portland Timbers where he was drafted in 2022 after a stellar career at Virginia Tech University.
The 6’4” Norwegian is also reuniting with Mark McKeever after he was a part of the 2021 USL League Two National Champions, Des Moines Menace. McKeever said, “Sivert brings more size to the squad and has a huge comfort level on the ball to help us with the way we want to play.” McKeever continued to say that “Sivert is versatile enough to push into midfield if there is a need and on top of his aggressive qualities as a defender, he is a massive goal threat at set pieces. I love being around players like Sivert in the locker room and on the practice field as he is another who loves to train with great intensity.”
We asked Haugli about his excitement in joining One Knoxville SC. He said, “one of the things that excites me about joining One Knoxville SC for the 2024 season is contributing to building on the inaugural season and doing my best to make this upcoming one even more successful!”
Please welcome Sivert Haugli to the 865!
