TAMPA, Fla. – One Knoxville SC finished off the 2026 USL League One regular season in impressive form over the weekend with a lopsided 3-0 win on the road against the New York Cosmos. The league recognized those exploits on Tuesday, naming midfielder Mikkel Gøling and forward Denis Krioutchenkov to its Week 33 Team of the Week.
It marks the first time this season that Gøling earned such honors, while this is the third time for Krioutchenkov, joining Weeks 1 and 8/9 to go along with his March USL1 Player of the Month award.
Having to make up for the absence of Teddy Baker, Gøling adjusted to a larger role in the midfield nicely. The 24-year-old from Copenhagen had seemingly every blade of grass on the pitch covered on Saturday, leading the way by winning 11 duels – including seven in the air, six possessions and three tackles.
He also completed 27 of his 34 pass attempts, none bigger than his final one that set up Babacar Diene for the final goal of the contest. It was the fourth assist of the USL1 season for Gøling who nearly tallied a goal as well with a second half free kick that was destined for the top-right corner if not for a diving save by New York goalkeeper Javier Garcia.
Meanwhile, it was Krioutchenkov who got the scoring started for One Knox, turning his first touch of the game into a fifth minute goal for his club-leading 14th across all competitions and his third in the last four matches. The rookie striker also played a huge part in the game’s second goal with his unrelenting pressure in the box that forced an errant ball to set up Eli Conway’s finish.
Krioutchenkov finished the match with a match-best eight touches in the opposing box and had four total shots with two on target.
Week 33 is the second consecutive week that One Knox has been represented on the Team of the Week, with Baker earning the honors for Week 32. Other selections include Baker and Conway in Week 26. Baker again in Week 24, along with Johan Garibay and Jordan Skelton. Will Perkins and Conway were picked for Week 23, Scott McLeod for Week 19/20, and Baker Finn McRobb both for Week 17/18 and Week 16. Kyle Linhares was also selected for Week 16.
Diene was selected for Week 8/9 with Ian Fuller also named Coach of the Week. Diene, Linhares and John Murphy Jr. earned Week 7 honors, Garibay was named in both Week 6 and Week 5, along with Braudilio Rodrigues. Jaheim Brown was named in Week 4, as well as the opening week of the 2026 season with Murphy Jr. and Stavros Zarokostas.
