KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – As the push to defend its title continues with the 2026 USL League One season entering the final stretch, One Knoxville SC has strengthened its backline with a new addition to the squad. On Friday, the club announced that it has signed defender Beckham Uderitz to a 25-day contract, pending league and federation approval.
“I’m absolutely stoked for this,” said Uderitz, who earned a contract after trialing with the club. “I’m ready to work my tail off as much as I can. I’m a hardworking player that loves to play up and down the field. My mentality is to come in and help this team win games any way that I can.”
Uderitz will be available for team selection when One Knox travels to face Greenville Triumph SC on Saturday.
It marks the second professional stop for Uderitz, who previously played with Sporting Kansas City II. In his one season with the MLS NEXT Pro club, the 23-year-old featured mainly as a left back but also was deployed as a winger further up the pitch. Logging over 1,500 minutes across his 25 appearances with the club in 2025, Uderitz notched a pair of goals.
“He brings an incredibly high footballing IQ,” One Knox Head Coach Ian Fuller said of the new signing. “He provides really good technique from the fullback position. I think a really important trait about him is that he’s got a bit of a chip on his shoulder and really wants to prove himself.”
A native of Snohomish, Washington, Uderitz played collegiately at Seattle University and Whatcom Community College before making the jump to the professional ranks.
Following this weekend’s trip to Greenville, Uderitz will get his first chance to play in front of the home fans at Covenant Health Park on Wednesday, August 19 when One Knox hosts Portland Hearts of Pine (tickets). It will be the first of a two-match home stand next week, followed by a special Vols Night match against AC Boise on Saturday, August 22 (tickets).
