
One Knoxville SC hired Ian Fuller as the Head Coach in the Fall of 2024. The 45-year-old has spent the past eight seasons as an assistant coach with Minnesota United FC (MNUFC) in MLS.
Fuller, a native of Ellensburg, Washington, most recently served as an assistant coach for MNUFC between 2016-24 during its time in both the NASL (2016) and MLS (2017-24). Fuller also served as an assistant coach for Orlando City SC in the USL Championship (2011-14) and MLS (2015-16) as well as the Charleston Battery in the USL Second Division (2010). Fuller served as a player-coach between 2010-13 for both Charleston and Orlando.
As a player, Fuller competed collegiately at Clemson University and began his professional career with the New England Revolution after being selected with the 21st pick in the 2002 MLS SuperDraft. The forward made 14 appearances for New England across regular season and postseason play in 2002, helping New England advance to their first MLS Cup.
For the remaining 10 years of his professional career, Fuller suited up for several USL teams including Orlando City SC (2011-13), the Charleston Battery (2006-10), the Rochester Rhinos (2003-05) and Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2005). Notable highlights of Fuller’s playing career include helping Orlando win the inaugural USL Championship title and USL Championship Players’ Shield in 2011, guiding Orlando to a second USL Championship crown in 2013, and helping Charleston to the 2008 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final.
Fuller now resides in Knoxville with wife Susannah Fuller.
