
24 year-old, Gio Calixtro joined One Knoxville late into its inaugural season in 2023.
Calixtro, born in Cornelius, Oregon. The winger was a member of the Portland Timbers youth academy and made his professional debut for Portland Timber II, back then, a part of the USL Championship, on June 11, 2017. There, he scored 9 goals in 55 appearances and became the youngest player in tier 2 history to score 2 goals in a game (18 years, 9 months, 3 days).
In 2021, he signed with USL League One team FC Tuscon. There he had 5 goals in 50 appearances.
In his first season for Knoxville, Calixtro quickly impacted the squad and became an important member by playing in 15 games, starting in 10 and scoring a goal. Throughout the 2024 season, the west-coast native featured in 18 games.
